ALTON REGENERATION GROUP (SRB)

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 24th February 2009 at The Royal Oak, Alton.
1. PRESENT: John Moorhouse (Treasurer), Gillian Morrison, David Scrivens, Linda Goodwin, Pat Riesco, Barbara Rothwell,
2. APOLOGIES Gabbi Lees
3. WELCOME: John welcomed everyone to the meeting.
4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING- were read, agreed and signed.
5. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
John gave a report on behalf of Sally.
Website- going from strength to strength, he thanked Neil for his maintenance of the site. It regularly receives 40,000 hits per month.
Pump area- on going project,funding application has been sent but the Parish Council has not received a reply at present. Dave stated he would contact Awards for All.
Round house event – another successful occasion thanks to Jonathon and Josie for organising the refreshments etc.
Membership- generally numbers attending meetings have dwindled over the year. John thanked all who have supported the group and hoped for renewed interest in the coming year.
VILLAGE AGENT’S REPORT
Dave stated that the group had achieved a lot over the years and despite lack of numbers it was still a viable group. A village appraisal had been completed in June which could be the platform for future projects.
He stated that his role was now changing and he would no longer be attending the meetings but he could be contacted for advice or support. From 1st April we should apply directly to SMDC for funding for projects.
We thanked Dave for supporting the group over the years and wished him success in the future.
8.TREASURER’S REPORT: (see attached sheet)
The balance was now £2616.56
Dave gave a vote of thanks to John for his work as treasurer over the last year.
